🔒 FERPA Compliance Statement

KyDz UnitVerse complies with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), a federal law protecting the privacy of student education records.

Our FERPA Compliance Measures

Data Minimization

We collect only essential information required for lesson planning (teacher name, school, grade level). Student personally identifiable information (PII) is NEVER stored in UnitVerse.

No Student PII

Lesson plans do NOT contain student names, photos, grades, test scores, or any other identifiable student data. Teachers are responsible for ensuring their lesson notes do not include PII.

School District Control

Your school district maintains full ownership and control of all lesson content. You can export or permanently delete data at any time through your Settings panel.

Access Control via SSO

Only authenticated educators from your organization can access your lessons. All access is enforced through Single Sign-On (SSO) and validated by KyDz ArcGate.

Encryption & Security

All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256 PostgreSQL encryption). Our infrastructure is hosted on SOC 2 Type II certified providers.

No Third-Party Selling

We NEVER sell, rent, or share educator or student data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Your trust is our foundation.

Audit Trails & Monitoring

All access to lesson data is logged and monitored by KyDz ClusTer (our audit system). District administrators can review access logs upon request.

Annual Training & Review

Our team undergoes annual FERPA compliance training. We conduct quarterly internal audits to ensure ongoing adherence to privacy standards.
